HD Construction Equipment Holds Meeting to Support Accelerate Partners' BCC Sourcing
- Aims to strengthen cost competitiveness by supporting the expansion of partners' BCC sourcing

On June 4, HD Construction Equipment convened a meeting at its Shanghai Procurement Center in China to formally support the revitalization of its partners' Best Cost Country (BCC) sourcing strategy.
The meeting was organized to enhance fundamental competitiveness by expanding BCC sourcing and establishing a collaborative execution framework with partner companies. Key attendees included CEO Moon Jae-young and Executive Vice President Jung Chang-hwa, Head of Procurement at HD Construction Equipment. Also present were partner representatives Senior Executive Vice President Son Il-young of Hwayoung and Executive Vice President Kim Tae-geun of HanWool H&P, who discussed practical implementation strategies.
BCC sourcing focuses on purchasing parts from lower-cost countries to reduce production costs. This strategy is a key initiative for the Partner Company Council's Research Committee, which introduced it last May.
Seventeen partner companies are involved in this BCC project. Vice President Lee Dong-hwa (Construction Equipment Procurement) and Senior Manager Beck Jong-woo (China Procurement Center) of HD Construction Equipment serve as sponsors to review the project's direction and strengthen its execution.
SEVP Son of Hwayoung and EVP Kim of HanWool E&P agreed to boost component competitiveness by expanding BCC sourcing for outsourced parts. Their shared goals include diversifying supply chains, minimizing risks, and improving quality and delivery. Furthermore, they pledged to share their BCC successes and action plans with other partner companies.
CEO Moon Jae-young reviewed the project's progress and noted areas where support is needed. He stated, “Through this meeting, we will work closely with our partners to build a stronger foundation for BCC sourcing. We are committed to boosting our partners' competitiveness by creating and sharing real success stories.
