HD Construction Equipment Secures 20 Billion KRW ADT Supply Deal with Northern Europe’s Largest Rental Company
- Signs contract to supply 39 ADTs to 'Rental Group,' the largest construction equipment rental company in Northern Europe
- To be deployed in quarries and large-scale tunneling projects, proving competitiveness in the heavy special equipment market
HD Construction Equipment has recently signed a contract to supply 39 DEVELON Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) to Rental Group, the largest construction equipment rental company in Northern Europe.
The contract is valued at approximately 12 million euros (around 20 billion KRW), and HD Construction Equipment plans to deliver 13 of the 28-ton models and 26 of the 41-ton models sequentially within this year. The equipment provided will be deployed at various sites, including quarries, road construction projects, and large-scale tunneling operations throughout Norway.
ADTs feature a unique articulated chassis that provides outstanding driving performance, even on rough terrain and in confined spaces. In Northern Europe, where rocky landscapes and soft ground are common, ADTs have become essential for construction sites.
A decisive factor in securing this order was the client's high satisfaction with the exceptional competitiveness of the products and the reliable service they received while using their existing fleet of DEVELON ADTs. Additionally, this contract is highly significant as it demonstrates the company’s global competitiveness in the heavy special equipment market, extending its reach beyond its flagship excavators to include ADTs.
According to global market research firm Business Research Insights, the global ADT market size is projected to grow at an annual average rate of 4.2%, rising from $7.8 billion (approx. 11.6 trillion KRW) in 2026 to $11.2 billion (approx. 16.7 trillion KRW) by 2035. In line with this market growth, HD Construction Equipment aims to sell more than 420 ADTs globally this year.
HD Construction Equipment currently operates a production subsidiary in Norway that manufactures ADTs. Going forward, the company aims to enhance its global market strategy by diversifying its product lineup. It plans to launch both ADTs and wide-dump trucks (WDTs) through its subsidiary in Yantai, China.
“By successfully securing this large-scale order for ADTs in the Northern European market, which is known for its challenging terrain and environmental conditions, we have once again demonstrated the competitiveness of our products,” said Lim Jung-woo, Vice President of the Europe Region. “Building on this momentum, we will continue to strengthen our brand presence in the global market.”
