HD Construction Equipment Kicks off 3rd Term of Partner Company Council Research Committee
- Suppliers voluntarily participate in projects to strengthen core capabilities in quality, cost, and production.

On May 18, HD Construction Equipment held the launch ceremony for the 3rd term of the Partner Company Council Research Committee at Korea Job World in Seongnam, South Korea. The event was attended by around 110 people, including HD Construction Equipment's CEO Moon Jae-young, Executive Vice President Jung Chang-hwa (Procurement Division), and key executives, as well as representatives from 49 participating partner companies.
Launched in 2024, the Partner Company Council’s research committee serves as a collaborative platform to enhance the competitiveness of components through close cooperation between HD Construction Equipment and its partners. Over its first two terms, the committee has achieved significant improvements by implementing projects to upgrade core capabilities in quality, cost, and production.
Building on this success, the 3rd term has expanded its scope to include partners from the newly formed Integrated Mutual Growth Council, shifting away from the previous top-down approach to empower partner companies to select their own projects.
For each project, HD Construction Equipment employees with expertise in the respective field will be appointed as sponsors. They plan to provide full support to enhance project execution and generate practical results.
During the launch ceremony, the operational direction and main tasks for the 3rd term were shared. Key improvement projects were presented, including securing competitiveness in component costs, reducing logistics costs, simplifying specifications, aligning quality standards, and driving digital manufacturing innovation based on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This was followed by the appointment ceremony for the Research Committee Chair and the sharing of project execution plans, marking the official start of activities.
“Through this research committee, we aim to sharpen our partners' core competitiveness, boost technical exchanges, and strengthen collaboration as a joint innovation unit to build a thriving environment for shared growth,” said CEO Moon Jae-young. “Specifically, as AI adoption accelerates across the manufacturing sector, we will offer comprehensive support to the partner companies—including building smart factories and driving MES-based digital transformation.”
Executive Vice President Jung Chang-hwa added, "The challenges facing the 3rd Research Committee cannot be resolved by a single company alone. They will yield practical improvements only when backed by seamless collaboration across R&D, quality, production, and logistics. We expect this committee to transcend being a simple consultative body and evolve into a joint innovation framework that drives a sustainable partnership model."
