HD Hyundai’s Construction Equipment Division Holds First Change Leader (CL) Workshop
- New CL role goes beyond previous CA position, actively driving the company’s transformation.
- Fostering positive organizational culture change by exploring and sharing innovative ideas for utilizing AI.
On April 1, HD Hyundai’s Construction Equipment Division hosted the 2026 Change Leader Workshop at the GRC Asan Hall.
The Change Leader (CL) role is specifically designed to take a more proactive approach to leading organizational change. This year, with change management as a core managerial focus, HD Hyundai has evolved the previous Change Agent (CA) system into this more advanced, leadership-driven framework.
The workshop was organized to share the roles and strategic direction of the CLs following the system reorganization, with 96 CLs in attendance.
This year’s CL activities center on "Working Methods in the AI Era," featuring sessions on ▲the CL’s role as a change manager, ▲evolving workplace practices in the AI era, and ▲strategic preparations for CL activities in 2026.
CLs established action plans for their groups and shared ideas for AI applications that can be implemented in the field right away. This collaboration fostered consensus on promoting positive changes in the organizational culture.
"I believe these CL activities represent a formal first step toward becoming next-generation leaders and provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on your leadership direction," said President Moon Jae-young. "I encourage you to embrace new changes, including advancements in AI, with an open mindset—rooted in a strong spirit of challenge and the ability to collaborate with diverse members—while cultivating the essential competencies required of a leader."
The CLs active this year will share insights and guidance gained from interviews with leaders and small groups on AI technology, and they will lead the effort to spread improved working methods in the field.
HD Hyundai’s Construction Equipment Division intends to align its CL activities with the Group’s shared mission of 'Creating and Disseminating AI Agents.' By continuously identifying and sharing AI trends, their key takeaways, and internal best practices, the company seeks to drive the widespread adoption of AI-driven work methods.
