HD Construction Equipment toured worksites where the Hyundai Next-Generation HX400L excavator, launched last year, is in operation to gather customer feedback, and delivered the first unit of the Hyundai Next-Generation HX320L excavator newly introduced this year.
On January 17, top management including President Moon Jae-young, Vice President Kim Seung-han (Product Development Division), Senior Managing Director Choi Tae-keun (Construction Equipment Sales Division), Managing Director Jeong Oh-cheol (Korea Sales), and Managing Director Park Je-il (Construction Equipment Quality)—along with staff from the Korea Sales, Korea PS, and Quality departments—visited customer worksites to engage in customer-centric sales activities.
The participants visited the worksites of HX400L customers in Paju, Siheung, and Boryeong to conduct in-depth interviews. The interviews focused on evaluations of overall equipment performance, including fuel consumption, operational efficiency, and operability and controllability.
Customers praised the HX400L for its significantly improved fuel efficiency compared with competing models in the same class, noting that ease of operation was greatly enhanced due to more precise and smoother joystick control.
On the same day, a delivery ceremony for the first HX320L unit was also held at a quarry site in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, where an appreciation plaque and commemorative gifts, including a miniature of the Hyundai Next-Generation HX320L, were presented to Wooseong Construction Equipment, the purchaser of the first unit.
HX320L has outstanding fuel efficiency and equipment controllability due to its fully electronic hydraulic system (FEH). As a product that enhanced operator convenience with its 2D machine guidance and machine control functions, it can ensure the safety of its surroundings during work with its SAVM (Smart Around View Monitoring) and radar system. In addition, its equipment status monitoring system helps prevent equipment failures in advance.
President Moon Jae-young said, “The HX400L is a smart excavator with state-of-the-art technologies, designed to maximize productivity, durability, and ease of operation. By reflecting feedback from the field, we will accelerate efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of our next-generation excavator lineup through the development of customized products optimized for actual operating conditions and work practices, as well as the improvement of quality.”
“We are thankful for the positive feedback that our products are actually helpful to our customers. In particular, the good response in terms of handling and fuel efficiency drives us to release even more competitive products by actively reflecting the needs at the worksites when developing new products to be released in the future,” Vice President Kim Seung-han said.
“As three mid- to large-size next-generation models including HX320 and HX230 were introduced to the domestic market this year following the HX400L, which achieved No.1 status among excavators of the same class released last year, we will enhance both brand image and profitability by increasing our sales volume,” Senior Managing Director Choi Tae-keun said.
