- Analyzed 2025 performance, shared key tasks for 2026 to strengthen competitiveness
- Targeting KRW 1.4 trillion in AM sales by 2030 through synergy with customer-tailored strategy
HD Construction Equipment hosted the “2026 Global AM/PS Conference” at its Eumseong Global Training Center from January 21 to 23. A total of 45 people attended the event including Executive Vice President Choi Tae-keun (Construction Equipment Sales Division) and Vice President Kim Byung-soo (AM/PS Division), as well as AM/PS expatriates from overseas subsidiaries and leaders from the head office.
Attendees at the conference shared the 2025 performance and key initiatives for 2026 and best practices, and also participated in a tour of the Ulsan Campus.
In the session for sharing the 2025 performance, the attendees celebrated record-high AM performance following the integration of the Hyundai and Develon brands and analyzed the success factors. Based on this, the attendees set aggressive goals for 2026 and formed a consensus to achieve them.
The key focus areas for 2026 were shared, including ▲targeting the non-warranty market centered on Extended Warranty and economic parts, ▲strengthening service competitiveness through digital transformation, and ▲ plans to establish an advanced logistics system.
The attendees discussed strategies for continuously securing customers whose standard warranties have expired by first enhancing the marketability of EW (Extended Warranty). They selected expanding the sales of Extended Warranty products as a major task to cement the foundation for targeting non-warranty customers and decided to expand the “ValueMate” lineup, a value-priced parts brand designed to reduce maintenance cost burden for customers outside the warranty coverage.
As part of efforts to strengthen service competitiveness through digital transformation, the plan for expanding AI-based Uptime Center was announced. The company plans to improve customer claim processing speed significantly and maximize equipment uptime by drastically increasing the number of “Dealer Uptime Centers,” which monitor equipment status in real time and predict signs of breakdown, from the existing 48 centers to 80 this year.
Lastly, the attendees also reviewed plans to complete an advanced logistics system capable of rapidly supplying parts from anywhere in the world by establishing the Gunsan PDC (Parts Distribution Center) and performing integrated operation of the Brazil PDC.
“In the recent construction equipment market, the role and impact of AM/PS are being emphasized more than ever before. Let’s push ahead with parts and service strategies that directly address customer needs so that we can secure competitiveness that makes customers choose our brand,” Executive Vice President Choi Tae-keun said.
Vice President Kim Byung-soo vowed to establish a culture where leaders directly solve issues in the field and focus on execution. “We will commit our best efforts to achieve AM sales of KRW 1.4 trillion by 2030, building on the synergies of our integrated organization,” he added.
