HD Construction Equipment Wins Grand Prize at Government-Recognized Best Practice Awards for Corporate Qualifications

HD Construction Equipment has received official government validation for its specialized qualification system tailored for operating electric construction machinery, amid the rapid electrification of the global construction equipment market.

HD Construction Equipment announced on Friday the 11th that it won the Grand Prize (Minister of Employment and Labor Award) at the Government-Recognized Best Practice Presentation Competition for Corporate Qualifications, organized by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDK).

HD Construction Equipment’s "High-Voltage & Safety Management Certification” received high praise for establishing safe handling and management standards for high-voltage battery systems that reflect the actual operating environments and working principles of construction machinery.

The Government-Recognized Corporate Qualifications is a practical credentialing framework that provides official government recognition for specialized job functions unique to specific enterprises. In collaboration with HD Hyundai XiteSolution, HD Construction Equipment developed this qualification in 2024, focusing on electrified equipment such as electric excavators and electric forklifts. The company was officially designated as an operating enterprise under the government-certified system in March of this year and has trained over 500 certified experts to date.

HD Construction Equipment plans to offer various incentives for certificate holders and partner companies, such as subsidies for training costs and preferential sales commission rates for electric construction equipment. Additionally, the company aims to build a strong talent-cultivation ecosystem that covers future talent acquisition, employment, and career development. This will be achieved by enhancing collaboration between industry and academia with specialized educational institutions, including vocational high schools.

"This award indicates that our qualification framework has reached a level where it can officially validate practical, on-site competencies," stated an official from HD Construction Equipment. "In the future, we will continue to improve job site safety by empowering our verified professionals to lead the way, while pioneering new competency standards required in the era of construction equipment electrification."
