HD Construction Equipment Hosts Machinery Training for Technical School Teachers

- Aims to boost career counseling capabilities by deepening insight into the construction equipment sector.
-  Hands-on, practice-oriented training sessions held at the Global Training Center and Gumi University.

HD Construction Equipment conducted a heavy equipment training program for educators from July 27 to 31 at its Global Training Center in Eumseong, hosting 19 specialized high school teachers from the Gyeongbuk region.

The initiative was designed to provide technical school educators with a deeper understanding of the construction machinery sector. By offering firsthand experience with rapid industrial changes and advanced technology, the program aims to better prepare teachers to guide and advise students on their future career paths.

Co-organized by the Global Training Center, the Industry Skills Council, the Gyeongbuk Regional Skills Council, and the Department of Special Construction Equipment Engineering at Gumi University, this program emphasizes the value of industry-academic partnerships. It serves as a vital platform for bringing HD Construction Equipment’s training infrastructure and various career development programs directly into vocational school classrooms.

On the opening day, July 27, the Global Training Center hosted briefings on industry outlooks, technological roadmaps, and corporate training systems and infrastructure. Educators in attendance had the opportunity to use advanced simulators for excavators and AR welding. They also observed demonstrations of electric machinery and high-voltage safety management, gaining insight into how the industry is adapting to new technology.

From July 28 to 31, the program was held at Gumi University's practical testing facilities. Teachers participated in intensive, hands-on training tailored to heavy equipment operator licensing requirements, using actual field machinery to gain real-world insights.

"Visiting a corporate site and operating real machinery offered valuable insights into industry innovations," said Park Bok-jae, Principal of Kumoh Technical High School. "This experience will help us outline various career paths and growth opportunities for our students, providing them with a realistic perspective. I believe it will greatly enhance our vocational counseling and curriculum."

Lee Byoung-kab, Senior Manager of Global PS at HD Construction Equipment, stated, "To develop the next generation of industry leaders, it is essential for educators advising students to have a comprehensive understanding of the industrial landscape. We will continue to expand initiatives that connect classroom learning with real-world industrial experiences, nurturing future talent and enhancing the overall competitiveness of the construction machinery industry."
