HD Construction Equipment Provides Special Lectures on Smart and Eco-Friendly Machinery to High School Technical Talents
- Hosts specialized new-technology lectures for over 70 high school apprentices
- Enhances students' career understanding through real-world industrial cases, including smart/eco-friendly technologies and AI utilization
From June 25 to 26, HD Construction Equipment hosted a series of next-gen technology workshops in a corporate-tour format at its Global Training Center in Eumseong. The program welcomed over 70 high school apprentices on a vocational work-study track from Jaeneung High School and Bupyeong Technical High School.
The High School Work-Study Parallel System—promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor alongside the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDK)—is a national initiative designed for vocational high school students. It allows them to alternate between school and participating companies to receive NCS (National Competency Standards)-based training, effectively boosting their practical capabilities.
This training was specifically designed to deepen students' understanding of future career paths through actual industrial case studies, featuring a curriculum that covered ▲smart and eco-friendly construction equipment technology trends, ▲the structure of electrified machinery alongside demonstrations on high-voltage handling and safety, ▲a comprehensive tour of the Global Training Center, and ▲special lectures on strengthening AI utilization skills.
During the session, students learned about smart construction equipment solutions, including unmanned technologies, autonomous systems, and safety innovations. They also explored eco-friendly equipment trends powered by electricity and hydrogen. Additionally, students enhanced their field readiness through hands-on demonstrations of electrified machinery, essential safety protocols for handling high-voltage systems, and techniques for responding to hazards.
The students also explored the Global Training Center's highly optimized, field-tailored learning environment. A subsequent lecture on boosting AI capabilities taught them how to expand AI-driven critical thinking and upgrade their workflows, ultimately sharpening their real-world problem-solving skills
Lee Byoung-hoon, Chairman of HRDK, stated, "This special lecture on new technologies by HD Construction Equipment provided a valuable opportunity for apprentices to experience firsthand the changing trends in industrial technology and to inspire them about their future careers. We will continue to actively support the development of skilled technical experts needed in actual industrial fields."
Lee Byoung-kab, Senior Manager of Global PS at HD Construction Equipment, stated, "Our Global Training Center is not just a learning space; it is a crucial platform that allows young talents to experience the evolving industrial landscape firsthand and shape their career paths. Moving forward, we will actively contribute to developing future technical talents by increasing opportunities for hands-on industrial experiences."
