HD Construction Equipment Shares Vietnam Talent-Nurturing Expertise at KOICA Seminar
- Participated in the 2026 KOICA IBS I-Day Seminar
- Showcased initiative to boost construction equipment skills in Vietnam
HD Construction Equipment participated in the 2026 KOICA IBS I-Day seminar at the Science and Technology Center in Seoul on June 12, sharing insights from its ongoing IBS project in Vietnam. The event was held by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to promote its Inclusive Business Solution (IBS) program.
The event aimed to help participating companies better understand KOICA’s IBS program. A total of 18 companies—all of which signed new IBS agreements with KOICA for 2025–2026—attended the event to discuss project progress and operational expertise, including HD Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.
During the seminar, HD Construction Equipment introduced its "Green and Smart Construction Equipment Talent Project" in Vietnam, which was launched in July last year. Partnering with the Central College of Transport No. 1 (CCT1), a vocational school in Hanoi, Vietnam, the company is training maintenance technicians, providing technical education, offering scholarships to top students and underprivileged youth, and supporting contestants for the WorldSkills Competition.
Meanwhile, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries highlighted its initiative to train technical talent and boost capacity in Peru's shipbuilding sector. The initiative aims to train 180 Peruvian shipbuilding technicians and provide technical consulting to 18 local maritime companies in Peru, a market with high growth potential.
This year, the HD Construction Equipment Global Training Center plans to expand its activities in Vietnam. Key initiatives include ▲supplying wheeled excavators and educational equipment, ▲selecting and training the Vietnamese national team for the heavy equipment maintenance category at the WorldSkills Competition, and ▲providing advanced training for local instructors and technicians.
The company intends to boost its growth in Vietnam by expanding its footprint in the local construction equipment market. This approach will not only solidify its foundation for long-term growth but also strengthen its competitiveness on a global scale.
