HD Hyundai's Construction Equipment Division Launches IT System Integration Project
- Expected to improve work productivity by consolidating global ERP and major dealer systems
- Reducing approximately 270 systems to 172… Global rollout scheduled for October 2027
On May 6, HD Hyundai's construction equipment division held a kickoff meeting for the "IT System Integration Project" at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center.
The event brought together about 100 attendees, including key executives from HD Hyundai’s construction equipment division—such as HD Construction Equipment CEO Moon Jae-young and HD Hyundai XiteSolution CEO Song Hee-joon—alongside management and project teams from PwC Consulting, Lotte Innovate, and SK AX.
The IT system integration project aims to unify the disparate IT landscape across HD Hyundai’s construction equipment division. Establishing a standardized master data framework will drive operational efficiency, allowing teams to speed up data analysis, streamline workflows, and enable faster decision-making.
This project focuses on integrating global ERP and main dealer systems. The key goals are ▲to ensure a smooth system transition to the integrated system, ▲keep daily operations running without disruption, ▲minimize system downtime, and ▲cut annual IT costs by 12%.
The division plans to consolidate approximately 270 legacy systems into 172. This consolidation will involve systems from 22 corporate entities, covering construction equipment, industrial vehicles, engines, and components. It will also include core functions such as Supply Chain Management (SCM), Business Intelligence (BI), dealer portals, service portals, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
PwC Consulting, with extensive experience in building integrated systems for global enterprises, has been appointed as the lead consultant for the entire process. Lotte Innovate and SK AX will collaboratively execute the technical implementation.
CEO Moon Jae-young stated, “Through this IT system integration project, we will enhance our market responsiveness, improve operational efficiency, optimize IT operations, and reduce costs. Ultimately, this will lay the groundwork for a global innovation system powered by AI technology.”
After this kickoff, the ICT Support Division plans to conduct integrated system testing until June 2027, provide user training in August 2027, and officially launch the new integrated system at global worksites in October 2027.
