HD Construction Equipment to Discover Global Talent through Competition

HD Construction Equipment is launching a competition for engineering students in Korea under the theme of the future of construction machinery to discover global talent.
HD Construction Equipment announced on the 2nd, Thursday that it is recruiting participants for the "1st HD Future Construction Equipment Challenge." This competition is an engineering technology contest inviting university students to share their innovative ideas about the future of the machinery industry and infrastructure, with the aim of enhancing the global competitiveness of K-Construction Equipment.
The competition is open to teams of up to five members. Participants can choose one or more of the following four themes related to future technologies: ▲ Intelligence, ▲Sustainability, ▲Safety/Convenience, and ▲Future Construction Sites. Teams will propose ideas and collaborate with researchers from HD Construction Equipment to produce and demonstrate results associated with real industrial sites.
The Grand Prize team will receive 10 million KRW, support for overseas field trips, and benefits such as exemption from the document screening process during recruitment. The Excellence Award team will be granted 5 million KRW and support for overseas field trips. Additionally, the Encouragement Award team will receive 2 million KRW.
The preliminary and final rounds of the competition will take place in June and August, respectively. Before the preliminaries, an orientation will be held on May 7th at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center. This orientation is open to everyone, regardless of whether they plan to participate in the competition. Applications for the orientation will be accepted for two weeks, from April 1st (Wednesday) to April 15th (Wednesday), through the QR code on the poster or via the official application link.
HD Construction Equipment will offer all orientation attendees a special lecture on the global industry, along with opportunities to experience new construction equipment technologies firsthand, including remote-control equipment operation and excavation simulators.
An official from HD Construction Equipment stated, "We believe this competition will give university students a deeper understanding of the future of the construction equipment industry. Our goal is to transform the current industrial paradigm, which is mainly centered on the U.S. and Europe, in collaboration with Korea's talented young engineering students."
