HD Construction Equipment Hosts 2026 AM/PS Global Staff Conference
- Sharing 2026 AM/PS business strategies and conducting in-depth technical training
- Exploring ways to expand extended warranty sales and drive AI-based service innovation
HD Construction Equipment hosted the 2026 AM/PS Global Staff Conference from February 1 to 12, creating a platform for education and communication to strengthen AM/PS (Aftermarket/Product Support) competitiveness.
The event was attended by 22 AM/PS global staff members from major regions, including the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Key AM/PS leaders, including Vice President Kim Byoung-soo (AM/PS), Vice President Park Hyun-sang (Global AM), and Senior Manager Lee Byoung-kab (Global PS), also participated to share future business strategies.
During the first week, in-depth technical training was held at the Eumseong Global Training Center, focusing on the HB640S backhoe loader and the T45A articulated dump truck. Participants studied machine structures and essential service requirements, leveraging field experience and operational case studies to improve the training's effectiveness.
In the second week, held at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center, global AM/PS leaders shared the 2026 business strategy. Intensive discussions followed on two core themes: expanding extended warranty sales and AI-driven service innovation.
A consensus was reached on the need for an Integrated PS Solution to expand extended warranty sales, with proposed action items including ▲ establishing real-time quoting infrastructure, ▲ increasing pricing and policy flexibility, and ▲ strategically linking warranties with maintenance services.
Additionally, strategies were discussed to leverage AI in improving service efficiency and quality, especially in addressing customer and dealer inquiries, machine diagnostics, and field support. The plan includes the immediate launch of a Service AI Agent to achieve short-term results, followed by a phased implementation of predictive maintenance and AI Transformation (AX)-based service models.
“Building on the insights from this conference, we are committed to strengthening our execution through even closer collaboration with our regional teams,” stated Vice President Kim Byoung-soo.
The conference concluded with a tour of the Ulsan Campus and the shipyard, providing participants with a better understanding of HD Hyundai’s key business operations.
During the meeting at the Ulsan Campus, President Moon Jae-young urged staff to proactively identify customer needs at the front lines, emphasizing that this insight is key to enhancing customer value and sharpening sales competitiveness.
