HD Construction Equipment Delivers First DEVELON DX400 Unit to Customer
- Muchang Industries purchased five units, including the DX400 and DX550LC-7, for large-scale quarry operations

HD Construction Equipment held a delivery ceremony for the DX400—the first unit of DEVELON's newly released next-generation 40-ton excavator—at Muchang Industries in Sancheong County, Gyeongnam Province on January 7.
The ceremony was attended by Managing Director and Head of Korea Sales Jeong Oh-cheol, DEVELON’s Korea Sales Team Leader Son Jun-ho, Korea Sales Planning Team Leader Son Jin-ho, Korea PS Team Leader Kim Hyun-seok, and Head of Jinju Sales Office Jeong Sang-min. They presented a commemorative plaque and a model key as well as gifts to CEO Kim Jin-il of Muchang Industries, the first customer to purchase the newly launched DX400.
The DX400 is DEVELON's second next-generation excavator model introduced in Korea, following the DX240. It is an eco-friendly model that complies with the Stage V emissions regulations. Equipped with an electronically controlled hydraulic system (FEH), the model offers excellent fuel efficiency and machine controllability. Its Smart Around View Monitoring (SAVM) and radar system enhance safety around the machine during operation.
As a company specializing in aggregate extraction and ready-mixed concrete production, Muchang Industries purchased five large excavators for quarry operations consisting of three DX400 and two DX550LC-7 models. "We have mainly used imported equipment, but we are highly satisfied with the DX400 as its superior fuel efficiency allows for significant savings on fuel costs. We also expect its advanced safety technology to be a great help in preventing accidents on site,” CEO Kim Jin-il said.
Managing Director Jeong Oh-cheol stated, "The HX400, Hyundai's 40-ton next-generation excavator model launched last year, has also been well-received by domestic customers, selling 14 units in just six months and achieving the top market share in its class. HD Construction Equipment's market leadership will be further strengthened based on the excellent products and technological capabilities of both Hyundai and DEVELON," he added.
