- Aims to promote innovation in business through data-driven strategies and enhance skills in utilizing artificial intelligence
- Out of 24 submissions, six projects progressed to the finals, utilizing the Palantir Platform effectively.

The HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Division held its second Data Analysis Competition at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center on December 9.

This competition aimed to promote data-driven business innovation and enhance the use of AI. More than 100 executives and employees participated, both online and in person. Notable attendees included Moon Jae-young, President of HD Construction Equipment, and Senior Executive Vice Presidents Park Chan-hyug (Quality & Production Division), Kim Jong-chul (Management Support Division), and Kim Seung-han (Product Development Division).

During the event, six out of the 24 projects developed this year reached the finals. Each project leader provided a thorough overview of their initiative, detailing the project's background, process improvements, business outcomes, user feedback, and future plans. They also demonstrated their work using the Palantir platform.

The first-place award went to Senior Specialist Shin Woong-jae from the Quality Strategy Team of HD Hyundai XiteSolution for his project titled “B5 Lifespan Automatic Analysis.” “B5” refers to the point at which the cumulative defect rate reaches 5%. Senior Specialist Shin developed a system on the Palantir platform that enables lifespan analysis without requiring expensive analytical equipment or specialized statistical expertise.

Second place was awarded to Kim Ye-jin, Manager of the AM Operations Team at HD Construction Equipment, for her project on the “Optimal Inventory Operation Simulation Program.” The third-place award went to Yu Hyun-jae, Senior Specialist, for his “Imported Materials Delivery Monitoring” system.

President Moon Jae-young commented, “Seeing the demonstration of how data analysis that used to take days can now be efficiently completed on the Palantir platform gave me a glimpse of a very positive future.” He added, “We plan to support data education for all employees to enhance the company’s operational efficiency, and I hope leaders will actively utilize this in decision-making.”

HD Hyundai’s Construction Equipment Division is preparing to launch a new integrated data platform named HD360 in 2026, which will consolidate its current operational platforms.
