HD Hyundai’s Construction Equipment Division Nurtures Skilled Talent Through Its Career Academy
- Enhances effectiveness through job competency assessments and offering practical training sessions led by in-house instructors
- Broadens technology training courses this year to boost competitiveness in emerging fields
HD Hyundai's construction equipment division is expanding its technology training courses within its in-house Career Academy to nurture skilled talent.
The Career Academy is a talent development program designed to help employees enhance their skills based on functional competency (FC) diagnostic data. This program identifies areas for improvement from both organizational and technical perspectives, offering practical training that is directly relevant to real-world applications.
Employees from the construction equipment division serve as in-house instructors, developing courses and delivering lectures. By sharing their expertise, they foster a dynamic learning environment, leading to high participant satisfaction and outcomes such as ▲enhanced in-house expertise, ▲a culture of knowledge sharing, and ▲effective technology transfer.
This year's FC diagnostic data analysis has identified new learning needs related to emerging technologies. In response, 15 training modules have been launched, focusing on digital solutions for construction equipment, CAN communication analysis, generative AI, and object detection.
Jeon Sung-kwan, senior director of HR Operations, stated, "The Career Academy has conducted 45 courses across 76 sessions, with 851 participants successfully completing the program." He emphasized that the initiative not only enhances job skills but also fosters collaboration among departments such as R&D, Sales, Quality, and Production, enabling them to share insights and address challenges together.
