HD Hyundai unveiled its next-generation new excavator model for the first time globally at the ‘2025 Seoul Mobility Show’ held for 10 days at KINTEX 1st Exhibition Center in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do from the 3rd (Thursday).
The next-generation new models unveiled here are the 40-ton ‘HYUNDAI’ excavator from the construction equipment affiliate HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and the 24-ton ‘DEVELON’ excavator from HD Hyundai Infracore, debuting the first products from HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Unit to compete with global top-tier brands.
The next-generation new model is a smart excavator equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as the full electro-hydraulic system (FEH), and boasts superb performance in terms of production efficiency, equipment durability, and user convenience with various functions such as ▲’Smart Assist’ to increase work efficiency ▲’Smart Safety’ to ensure workplace safety ▲’Smart Monitoring’ to maximize equipment UPTIME.
HD Hyundai will set up a 1,215㎡ (367 pyeong)-wide exhibition hall for this mobility show and keenly greet visitors with the theme of “No Infrastructure, No Mobility”, an innovation-driven theme for infrastructure construction that advances sustainable development of land mobility.
The HD Hyundai exhibition hall is set up around three keywords: ▲leadership in construction innovation (Forward Spirit), ▲construction innovation-based technology (Forward Technology), and ▲construction innovation-driven future (Forward Future). Besides the new model exhibition, visitors can explore new construction equipment technologies through the hands-on 4D ride, RC construction equipment, and VR simulators.
In the HD Hyundai exhibition hall, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment’s 40-ton excavator (HX400) and HD Hyundai Infracore’s 24-ton excavator (DX240) are situated on the left and right respectively, and anyone can explore the core technologies of the next-generation new models by manipulating the touch panel at the milestone table in front of the excavators.
Additionally, various video contents such as new product introductions, brand story, and unmanned/autonomous land vision are introduced in a large scale through the 12m-long main large LED screen located in the center of the space and the louver, slanted strip-shaped screens on both the left and right.
HD Hyundai plans to announce the start of realizing the land vision ‘Xite Transformation’ with the launch of the next-generation new model and to declare its commitment to bring about future technologies.
On the 3rd (Thursday), the day before the general public opening, HD Hyundai held a media day, in which the next-generation new model’s unveiling event was globally live-streamed on YouTube, K-Construction Equipment’s export industry vision, along with introducing new product core technologies, and design concepts, raising expectations for the next-generation new models to be released starting in May.
HD Hyundai Xite Solution (an intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai’s Construction Equipment Sector) President/CEO Young-cheul Cho explained, “The next-generation new models are flagship equipment that have been completed by combining the technology and know-how of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Unit, and we will grow the national construction equipment brands ‘Hyundai’ and ‘Develon’ into global top-ranked makers, starting with the next-generation new models.”
Meanwhile, the HD Hyundai booth staged various contents and events to captivate and entertain family visitors, such as drawing digital graffiti with the next-generation new model as the background, tinkering with the construction equipment toy ‘Dgrr’ for children, and operating a souvenir shop. <End>
