HD Construction Equipment Opens Integrated ‘Global Uptime Center’ for HYUNDAI and DEVELON

On May 7, HD Construction Equipment held an opening ceremony for its new integrated Global Uptime Center (GUC) at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center. The GUC reflects HD Construction Equipment's commitment to its trust-based service brand, emphasizing "uptime” as its core value.
The ceremony was attended by President Moon Jae-young and senior executives, including Executive Vice Presidents Choi Tae-geun (Construction Equipment Sales), Kim Ki-hyung (HR Support), and Lee Yoon-seok (Finance and Planning). Also present were Vice Presidents Kim Byoung-soo (AM/PS), Kim Dong-rok (Product Planning), Byun Jum-seok (APAC/CIS), Park Hyun-sang (Global AM), and Shim Chang-young (Compact Sales), as well as Senior Manager Lee Byoung-kab (Global PS).
HD Construction Equipment has established the GUC to proactively address the rapidly evolving landscape of the construction equipment service market. This center operates an integrated service system that utilizes advanced digital technologies, including Telematics, AI, Big Data, and 3D modeling. The services offered range from real-time monitoring to remote diagnostics and prognostics, which involve predictive maintenance.
The workspace includes ▲the Control Room, which features large monitors that track the real-time status of Hyundai and DEVELON equipment worldwide. There is also ▲the War Room, dedicated to researching remote and preemptive response services. Additionally, ▲the Showroom allows visitors to experience advanced service technologies, such as VR simulators and Mixed Reality (MR) guidance. The center’s optimized layout and modern interior are engineered for maximum collaboration and work efficiency, reflecting a culture of professionalism and stability.
The newly developed logo features square pieces arranged in a circular orbit, embodying the core brand values of Trust, Technology, and Connection. It represents the continuous real-time data link between our equipment worldwide and the GUC.
President Moon Jae-young stated, "With the Global Uptime Center, customers can minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency. At the same time, dealers can offer quicker and more advanced services through remote diagnostic support. By integrating our expert Product Support (PS) team with digital service capabilities, we aim to establish a new standard in the service market."
HD Construction Equipment is committed to improving the accuracy of the GUC's predictive maintenance. The company also aims to enhance its AI-based demand forecasting for parts and inventory management. Additionally, HD Construction Equipment plans to strengthen its innovative brand image by developing a variety of products featuring the new logo.
