HD Hyundai XiteSolution Supports High-Voltage Safety Training for Next-Gen Electric Forklifts
- Theory and practical training provided using next-gen electric forklifts for High-Voltage Handling & Safety Management Training.
- Jointly developed the program with HD Construction Equipment; successfully selected for the “Government-Recognized Corporate Qualification System.”
HD Hyundai XiteSolution recently conducted theory and practical training focused on the next-generation B-X series electric forklifts. This training, titled "High-Voltage Handling & Safety Management Training," took place at the HD Construction Equipment Global Training Center. The initiative aimed to improve trainees' understanding of electric industrial vehicles and construction equipment.
HD Hyundai’s Construction Equipment Division has developed this training program since 2024 to cultivate specialized talent in electrified equipment and strengthen safety management at industrial sites.
Last November, HD Construction Equipment was selected by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDK) to operate the "Government-Recognized Corporate Qualification System" for handling and safety management of high-voltage electrified equipment. This is the first time a company in Korea has been able to issue government-recognized certifications for this purpose.
The curriculum is divided into two levels: Level 1 for basic handlers and Level 2 for specialized workers. It is open to employees, partners, clients, and relevant organizations.
The Level 1 course covers ▲the basics of high-voltage electrical systems for construction equipment and industrial vehicles, ▲high-voltage systems and high-voltage lithium-ion battery technologies, ▲insulation and grounding theory, and analysis of electrical hazards, as well as ▲international safety standards such as ISO 3691 and EN 1175.
Level 2 provides both theoretical and practical training based on the 7-ton next-generation electric forklift (70B-X), including ▲high-voltage system inspection and fault diagnostics, ▲safety isolation (Lock-Out/Tag-Out), ▲high-voltage circuit verification and discharge procedures, ▲proper donning and inspection of insulated PPE, and ▲emergency response.
The next-generation B-X series electric forklifts featured in training won the "Product of the Year" award in North America in the forklift category and have secured significant international orders since their launch in the second half of last year.
Park Chi-hyung, Vice President of Industrial Vehicle AM/Strategy, stated, "This training is expected to prevent accidents when handling high-voltage electrified equipment and systematically strengthen workers' emergency response capabilities. We will continue to advance the curriculum and actively encourage participation from global sites and partner companies."
