HD Construction Equipment Achieves Cumulative Production of 50,000 Units of Finished Equipment at Gunsan Campus
- Hits 50,000-unit milestone at Gunsan Campus, roughly three years after reaching 40,000 units in 2023
- Factory runs at full capacity, driven by growing export demand for DX360 excavators to Ethiopia
HD Construction Equipment held a ceremony at its Gunsan Campus on May 28 to celebrate a significant production milestone: the completion of 50,000 units of finished equipment. Since the establishment of the Gunsan plant in 2010, the company achieved a cumulative production of 40,000 units in 2023 and reached the 50,000-unit mark approximately three years later.
The event recognized the hard work and achievements of the Gunsan Campus team. Office staff, onsite managers, and labor union officials gathered to celebrate the 50,000-unit milestone and took photos together.
At lunchtime, the company treated around 800 employees and onsite subcontractors to coffee and snacks from a food truck, along with commemorative souvenirs for everyone.
Since opening in 2010, the Gunsan Campus has steadily expanded its facilities to boost production and meet growing global demand.
Recently, a surge in orders for DX360 excavators from Ethiopia pushed the factory to run at 100% capacity. This full-scale production helped the campus reach the 50,000-unit milestone ahead of schedule.
"Hitting the 50,000-unit mark 16 years after establishing this plant is a true testament to our team’s passion and dedication," said Choi Byoung-hag, Senior Manager and Gunsan Campus Factory Manager. "Moving forward, we will keep safety and quality as our top priorities to deliver the best equipment on time. Let’s work together to reach our next milestone of 100,000 units."
Technical Assistant Manager Kim Sang-jin of the Production Team added, "By focusing on quality and production efficiency, we will secure a stable supply system and strengthen our global edge. Our priority is to keep our workplace safe and rewarding for all."
